The first rule of blackmail is, if you cave, you’ll be blackmailed forever

  1. It’s not blackmail if the negotiator is in the criminal side, Van Der Leyen is a traitor, not a victim of blackmail, she works for usa and she always have been.

  2. The EU should just do nothing and if he comes back to the topic, tax the Shit out of the tech giants

  3. “Please Sir that won’t do, raise it to 50%”

    EU politicians, probably

  4. I don‘t even understand why the EU isn‘t simply saying it will match US tariffs 1:1. The $600 bn investment promise is obviously just there to manipulate Trump but the 15% one-sided tariffs are terrible and the EU should have never allowed this to happen. Trump can‘t rage a tarrif war against EU, India and China simultaniously

  5. Doesn’t make sense since the pledge is over years. Also, no firm will invest in such an unstable environment like Trump’s USA.

  6. Sure, we do that. Soon. Of course not before he is trialed for treason and the pledge is obsolete.

  7. Our temporary president Karin Heller-Butter uninvitedly went to the US to “renegotiate” the imposed 39% tariff. I doubt very much that she will even see the oval office.

Btw: We’re also looking for some affluent buyers of our very fantastic pharma stuff and splendidly accurate machines.

    PS: Baden-Württemberg, you’re invited to join r/GreaterSwitzerland 🙂

  8. It’s not unexpected, there is blood in the water and the US will now put on the pressure even more.

If we don’t like that, we should grow up already and realize that the world is not a friendly place.

  9. When can we finally not care about trump anymore and just let him do all the tarrifs he wants ? When dealing with a bully the best way is to ignore them until they are fed up with their own Bs, c’mon guys you learn this in kindergarden

  10. Tick tock tick tock Trump is racing the clock. In many ways.

  11. Don’t those taxes primarily affect the US consumers? Sure, it’ll hurt the companies here for a bit, but in the end the US will probably suffer the most anyway. Why does the EU even try keep Trump happy on that point?

  12. The orange goblin is about to get that all the world starts trading without them.

  13. So after getting pegged with that shit deal, now its treating us again with more tariffs ?

what a huge piece of shit… and dumb the EU going behind this bullshit.

  14. US innovation strongly backed by EU academics leaving the EU. He better be thankful we don’t use 600bn to incentivise them back.

  15. This is what happens when you “trade” with a human turd with no morals, intelligence or humanity.

  16. Tariffs are for weak-minded countries. Real strength is digital sovereignty.

Let’s add to the negotiations a law that would require all state-owned and large private companies in the EU to store their private data on servers located and owned within their own country or bloc.

No way any of the GAFAs would ever accept that.

  17. Fear not! Rutte or von der Leyen will suck up to Trump real good, then they’ll accept some random deal where Europe pays the USA 150% of everything there is, “for our own good.” And then “daddy” will say it’s still not enough and he want 300%…

it’s a fire, and we are just frogs in the pot

  18. Germany / Italy via the EU took TACO (Trump always Chickens out) too literally.

They didn’t realise that it is TACO (unless he faces an even bigger chicken)

That’s why in France we have a rooster as national symbol.

    We fuck the Chickens

  19. one major issue is that we also need wapeons for Ukraine which he will 100% use for blackmail. If that was not a issue I imagine we would be going against Trump a lot harder.

  20. The EU could deploy the ACI and obliterate the US stock market (ie pensions) but they won’t because they don’t have the guts. Trump and his team know this.

  21. Did we european already get the 600billion investment, or are we getting it soon?

I’m just not seeing why people should be economically enslaved just because Mr Orange desires it.

  22. They said they wanted “stability”. How do you like that “stability”? It didn’t last more than a week.

  23. Okay? Literally just do nothing. If that dipshit wants to make his own people pay a 35% tax on our products, let them do so.

  24. EU – master negotiator. Accept everything for increased tariffs. Get bigger tariffs then China, India, Brazil who actually do not instantly capitulate.
