Vote Blue, No Matter Who!

# The only way to fight “Income Inequality” is to follow Mamdani’s path
If you give a person earning 100k a tax break and a person who owns 100 million is assets a tax break, the person who earns 100k will spend the majority of the money they’ve saved, whilst the person who owns 100 million in assets will use that tax break to buy more assets, pushing up the cost of living, eventually wiping out the tax break given to the person on 100k.
Right now, the global minimum corporate tax is around 15%, but that rate should be increased across all countries. And if any nation refuses to participate, the international response should be firm: no trade with tax-haven countries. The United States, in particular, could even take a leadership role by unilaterally implementing higher trade tariffs on nations that refuse to cooperate, thereby leveling the economic playing field.
Currently, in the U.S., if a city tries to raise corporate taxes, wealthy individuals and companies often threaten to relocate to another city with lower taxes. This constant pressure prevents local governments from acting, and as a result, working-class people continue to suffer under the weight of corporate and elite blackmail.
This pattern repeats at the national level too. If the U.S. raises taxes, corporations and billionaires threaten to move their money or headquarters abroad.
The fear of wealthy individuals moving their money abroad is not a new challenge. Some European and Scandinavian countries have faced similar threats. However, instead of backing down, they implemented creative policies to maintain their social contracts. A key tool they used was the implementation of **”exit taxes,”** which are financial penalties levied on individuals or businesses for moving their wealth or assets out of the country. These measures were highly effective at reducing the risk of capital flight, allowing these nations to maintain higher tax rates and fund robust social safety nets.
It is the only way to end the blackmailing of corporations.
# Why no other candidate, but ONLY Mamdani has the REAL Plan for making Affordable Apartments?
Right now, NYC gives big tax breaks to real estate giants who promise to make 20% of apartments “affordable” for only 15–20 years. After that, rents skyrocket, and families are pushed out. Billions of taxpayer dollars wasted for temporary affordability.
Mamdani’s plan is different:
# Build housing with city funds and bonds.
# Keep it permanently affordable, not just for 15 years.
# Stop relying on developers whose main goal is profit, not people.
Housing is a human right, not a 20-year deal that expires. Mamdani wants a Vienna-style model where public housing stays affordable forever. That’s the real solution NYC needs.
**How will Mamdani pay for affordable housing? Here are the facts:**
# **New Revenue** • A 2% income surtax on people making over $1M/year • Corporate tax increase from 7.25% → 11.5% (This funds tax-backed bonds and operating costs.)
# **$70B Cost Explained** That number is **not a sudden tax bill**. It refers to **municipal bonds** (NYC debt) paid back over time, just like we finance schools, roads, and bridges.
# **Phased Plan** • Housing built over 10 years • Costs spread over time, using future revenue to pay debt • Permanent affordability for renters
This isn’t a “tax bomb.” It’s a smart, long-term investment funded by progressive taxes and bonds, so working people finally have housing security.
# Why no other candidate, but Only Mamdani Has a Real Plan to Fix NYC Traffic
New York City drivers spend over a hundred hours annually stuck in traffic. Our streets are severely congested, pollution levels are increasing, and daily commuting has become a nightmare. Every election cycle, politicians discuss solutions, but concrete plans are often missing.
The reality is that many mayoral candidates lack a serious strategy to address traffic congestion. They often cling to car-focused policies, like expanding highways and parking, which paradoxically exacerbate the issue.
Zohran Mamdani offers a distinct approach. His vision avoids quick fixes or unfulfilled pledges. He grasps the core issue: New York is fundamentally designed for public transit, not for an ever-increasing number of private vehicles. For this reason, Mamdani advocates for:
Fare-free public transit, providing an affordable alternative to driving for everyone.
Improved subway and bus service, eliminating long waits and overcrowded trains.
Congestion pricing, which would reduce car traffic in Manhattan while simultaneously funding public transit enhancements.
The Interborough Express (IBX), designed to connect Brooklyn and Queens without compelling commuters to travel through Manhattan.
Affordable housing located near transit hubs, enabling people to live closer to their workplaces without needing a car.
While other candidates merely discuss the problem, Mamdani presents tangible solutions for a cleaner, faster, and less congested New York City. If we continue with the current ineffective policies, traffic will inevitably worsen. Mamdani possesses the courage to implement bold changes, which is precisely what this city requires.
# Why is it totally wrong to blame Mamdani to be a COMMUNIST?
Cuba does not allow any private property, but Mamdani wants only government control over affordable apartments. At the moment, private US companies subsidise only 20% of these apartments, and that too for only 15 to 20 years, after which a family has to move from their homes while they can no longer afford it.
Similarly, Cuba does not allow any private grocery stores. However, Mamdani does not put any ban on private grocery stores, but he only wants to build 5 grocery stores in “Food Desert” areas, where poor people are COMPELLED to pay much more money as private companies dont open any grocery store there?
Why don’t you want Mamdani to help those poor communities? Why do you want Mamdani to forget about those poor people and their sufferings?
Will NYC really become like CUBA due to those only 5 grocery stores in food desert areas?
And still good amount of old dems won’t endorse him and simply pretend he doesn’t exist
I don’t know the guy, and have absolutely no stake in this particular election in any way.
But I do find it a bit ironically funny that literally everyone in the media is screaming what a disaster this guy would be for New York, America, and civilization in general….and it’s having absolutely no impact at all with the voters.
All media has spent so long appealing to ridiculous distraction shit people are just ignoring any outrage at all the media insist we have.
Well, except for the maga folks. They still seem to crave a politician that can “own the libs”, no matter how much it hurts thier own families.
I mean, yeah. He’s young, he’s very visibly part of the city he’s trying to lead, he’s healthy, and he supports a lot of good things that would improve the majority of peoples lives. I fail to see how anybody else would poll over him. The last few NYC mayors have been firmly establishment picks and largely do nothings – Eric Adams, Guiliani, Bloomberg, de Blasio.
This tracks because he won his primary with more votes than all other candidates combined.
According to the headline, he’s polling even higher than himself! Truly no stopping this guy.
I mean, he’s the Democratic primary winner in a Democratic stronghold city, facing the corrupt sex pest, the corrupt incumbent “Democrat” doing favors for Trump, the token perennial Republican candidate, and the “who?” independent candidate.
So, lol, what did you expect?
Yeah, but if you don’t include his numbers at all then the other guys are polling somewhat competitively against each other.
Don’t believe the polls. It adds complacency in the campaign. Focus on voters buying into your vision and getting them to actually vote
I know nothing about this guy. But…
Who’s a bigger disaster trump or this guy? I doubt it’s this guy.
The fact that the mass media is freaking out is a good then. They have gaslit trump being sane for years.
Let them eat cake.
I can’t wait for the recall…. /S
It’s crucial that the party distance itself from such an outlier /s
Mamdani isn’t a “full-on” communist.
Before Reagan, the United States followed Keynesian Economics which puts it somewhere between Socialism and Capitalism. It was closer to Socialism because our progressive tax rate for the wealthiest was around 50-70% at the highest bracket.
The Middle Class enjoyed a fair amount of prosperity during that short period. It’s why baby boomers are so much richer compared to the generations that came after.
What is Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, Union laws, but socialist policies meant to help citizens?
In other places in Europe such as Norway, France, Spain, Italy, have nationalized or semi-nationalized oil industries meant to help fund their socialist policies.
Socialism seems alien and foreign to the US because of USSR anti-propaganda, but within the history of the US we weren’t far removed from it.
It’s just our Public School education has some degree of misinformation.
The more the media and general establishment team up against the guy, the more you know he’s good for the people.
Not just outpolling those guys on positives, but on negatives tons of voters refuse to vote for Sliwa, Cuomo or Adams.
They’re gonna try so hard to ratfuck him.
Isn’t this at least the second poll in a row where this has happened?
Our media is controlled by billionaires. Of course there’s a campaign against Mamdani in all our media. If he’s successful, it’ll be a threat to the status quo. They can’t have that!
Whole thing makes me sick. The more they spread fear uncertainty and doubt about him, the more I like him.
He’s also polling the highest share of Jewish New York City voters at 37%. (The next one down in that share list is Eric Adams at 21%.)
In spite of all the false claims of antisemitism that were cynically weaponized against this fine upstanding gentleman.
Media: “We don’t like this guy!”
New Yorkers: “Why would we listen to you? The same source that covered Trump 24/7 and backed a disgraced sex offender for mayor? We’ll do this one ourselves.”
So as a non-american can anyone eli5 how the “socialist” candidate has so much support for this race yet the city somehow went for douchebag Adams last time? Seems like quite a shift, no?
I hope he just absolutely EMBARRASSES this whole field of seasoned, well-backed politicians.
And then he’ll have an ACTUAL mandate. Not the “mandate” every election winner claims when they eke out a 5-point victory, but a clear THE PEOPLE WANT THIS mandate to do some actual real good.
The media just keeps repeating his name and giving him free advertising. It’s hilarious. They’re soooo against him, but simultaneously boost him daily.
Yeah but when you take him out of the poll he’s not even in the top 5.
Mamdani becoming mayor in NY is great for a republican win in 28.
I love New Yorkers!
I’m here for the socialism
Fox News and the conservative media ecosystem weeping crocodile tears for their former whipping boy Cuomo is particularly hilarious.
I live in CO but damn do I love this guy so much 👏🏻
