  1. > “What did I do? I paid rent with my first paycheck,” Rogen, 43, admits. “I saved a lot of it because I was unconvinced I would ever receive a second paycheck.”

    > “So, I really tried to make my first paycheck last as long as humanly possible, basically,” he says.

  2. That’s smart. I agree it’s surprising he gets so many gigs.

  3. Nice that it didn’t all have to go for bills like most struggling actors. Must have had a nice family.

  4. It’s very unfortunate that his suspicions were incorrect.

  5. This reads like the origin of his lawsuit payout from Knocked Up.

  6. Dude every time this guy gives an interview he tells a story about being sure his career was over because of something or other.

  7. I feel like this is never going to be news. Every single actor/actress/comedian that now owns a tequila company or enough acreage to fill a US state, has started at the bottom living in a van or a friends closet.

  8. If you watch him in Freaks And Geeks it makes sense.. I was like this guy is funny you can tell but he seems sooo uncomfortable on camera. It worked for the show but if you told me he was a rich movie star back then I’d be like yeah ok 👌

  9. Anyone that gets their first big windfall should do the exact same thing.

  10. Seth Rogan is an artist in a world of businessmen. I will always appreciate him.

  11. Surprisingly smart move.

You hear a lot about actors who run out and blow their money on houses they can’t afford, cars that cost the same as house and so on and so forth.

Considering how precarious that industry is, a little restraint is a good idea.
