    You’d think they’d either be morally bankrupt and just fling it everywhere or do the last bit of taking it home.

    Environmentally aware but lazy maybe?

  4. Nah, we are gonna get more “camping zones” at this rate. People need to understand how much ammunition leaving a mess like this gives park boards to ban or restrict camping and wild camping.

    You know if you camp in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs national park without a permit its a criminal offense? like not a civil one, but you can get arrested, charged, taken to court and convicted with a criminal record.

    Fucking insane how the LLTNP board were able to push the SNP into legislating against Right to Roam.

    But its shit like this that made it possible.

    Just makes me sad.

  8. Pure laziness. It’s not hard at all to leave no trace. Extinguish the fire, scatter the ashes and take your rubbish! It’s these people that cause all of the nice areas to camp to be permitted.

  11. Disgusting. I know the area well and the council really need to put bins in place for people. In the past year almost all the bins along the roadside in Dumfries and Galloway have been removed and there is nowhere left to dispose of your rubbish. Same in Ayrshire but its even worse there because you can’t even go to the dump if you don’t have a postcode in the area and have to make appointments 🙃 if they don’t put bins in place for the public they are just asking for it to be made a shit hole.

  13. When it gets more and more expensive every year to go to an ever decreasing number of proper campsites that allow small bonfires to sit around with your friends, it’s honestly no surprise people do shit like this.

    It doesn’t excuse the mess left behind, but it does explain why it’s becoming more common.
