The rocketship ride continued for the Asian Poker Tour in South Korea, where the APT Incheon Main Event drew the largest Korean field in the tour’s history.
The final tally was 1,281, which included 206 online entries and 81 Day 2 walk-ups. All told, it added up to KRW 2,766,660,000 (~$2M USD), beating the 1 billion KRW guarantee by a wide margin. The top 191 players earned money and the winner will take home 483,890,000 KRW (~$349,885 USD).
Richest-ever APT Korea Main
A $2M prize pool also makes for the richest APT Main Event set in Korea, eclipsing the $1.7M mark set in 2024 by APT Jeju. That event was won by three-time bracelet winner Xixiang Luo.

The remaining 431 players returned for Day 2 to play to the money, and Abraham Ceesvin is the current chip leader of the 191 surviving players. He previously finished fifth at the APT Incheon Main Event in 2023 before he was runner-up at the APT Taipei Poker Classic the following year. He’s followed by Day 1C leader Shuzo Sekine in second and Kazuhiro Shirasawa in third.

Remaining Day 2 players will combine with the online flight on Day 3 for a march to the final table on August 9.
Meanwhile, APT Incheon marches on, breaking records in every corner of the building with a whopping 96 tournaments from August 1-10.
