August the 7th, 2025 – The stunning beauty of central Dalmatia has blown the American Forbes away, with impressions from the coastline to the rugged hinterland.
As Morski writes, in his travel article entitled “Away In Dalmatia, On Shore And Into The Mountains“, Forbes writer John Mariani focused on the gorgeous coastal destinations of Brela and Makarska, as well as Sinj and Imotski in the hinterland.
The impressed and enthusiastic Mariani praised the pearls of Croatia’s astonishing Adriatic coast such as the Punta Rata beach in Brela, as well as the iconic Blue and Red Lakes near Imotski. He also spotlighted the hiking routes and promenades well known to lovers of outdoor and active holidays. He was also impressed by Makarska, especially its food scene, and Sinj, which won him over with its history and, of course, the incredible Sinjska Alka.

“Having central Dalmatia published one of the most prestigious media outlets, Forbes, is additional confirmation of the quality of the Croatian offer. That’s the case not only on the coast, but also in lesser-known destinations that are increasingly attracting tourists, both from elsewhere in Europe and from faraway parts of the world. This is another incentive for the further promotion of Croatia as a country full of exceptional natural beauty, rich history and an amazing food scene, which offers guests an authentic experience throughout the year,” stated Leila Krešić-Jurić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board’s Representative Office in the USA, pointing out that the global Forbes website attracts around 78 million readers per month.
It’s also worth adding that the United States is the most important distant market for Croatian tourism, and that central Dalmatia being featured in Forbes will certainly attract even more American visitors to these shores.
