  1. Trump fundamentally doesn’t understand(or even seek to understand) trade and is just looking for big announcements he can brag about to his base. And this also suits him because in a few months he can use these ‘misunderstandings’ to justify a new round in his trade war and keep up the hostilities till the end of his term.

  2. Trump has numerous times proven himself to be extremely mentally and economically incompetent and he’s putting the whole global economy at extreme risk of collapse.

  3. Exactly how does the EU force private sector businesses to invest in the US?

  4. He thinks every ****ssy is available for him to grab. The reality is that he will destroy their economy for the benefit of all other countries. The toothless voters will realize this late…. too late to correct it.
EPA is gone. Labour Statistics gone… The guy with the worm in his brain controls Health. Too many people with their self interests around him to get him to do things for their benefit.

  5. EU needs to stop playing nice. You can’t play nice with a bully. You allow it once, it will never stop.

  6. ‘Trump threatens EU with 35% tariffs if $600bn investment pledge unfulfilled’

Extortion, it’s a mafia tactic. At this point they should place a memorial to Al Capone on the White House lawn.

The EU should cut out the U.S completely at this point. Trump and the Heaitage Foundation (Project 2025) don’t give a damn about the global economy.

And at this point no one in the public is going to see the true epstein files, hopefully there is someone left with a backbone that will leak the real thing.

  7. Can he just slap 124577(431134567% tariffs on us already, so we finally move on?

  8. “If you don’t give me money, I’m gonna take it from my own citizens”

  9. You mean 5% extra in tariffs than the UK secured, and 20% over existing? Then you ensure that we buy American weapons, and threaten to exponentially tariff pharma. Still no definitive position on spirits and alcohol from EU. What exactly are we gaining from this again? I get the stability piece, as the global macro fundamentals are lukewarm at best, and this would only push us into recession. I also get that Europe is stating true to its word in supporting Ukraine (without blackmail) and this deal was probably the only way to keep the US supplying arms. I cannot wait for the day that we get our act together, bolster our industries and increase competitiveness; and we divest from this crook and 50% of the US population apparently. You reap what you sow and all that.

At this stage, what ought to happen is the EU; China and Canada collude in tandem against Trumpy and co. Give him and Americans a dose of their own medicine (pun intended). The US is a ticking timebomb with their debt pile – stocks aren’t the real economy.

  10. This idiot is economically illiterate. But as he said yesterday, the US economy will boom in six months.

He meant it will go boom. Because why should any company invest in the USA when they have to pay tariffs on the materials they need?

  11. Would be great if the EU member states could get together and form a wealth fund. Use that to ‘invest’ in the US, housing, land, farms etc, and bring the wealth back to Europe.

  12. Trump threatens Americans with an additional 35% tax increase on all items imported from the E U. Why don’t you tell the truth Donny. Oh I know why. You still don’t have a clue how tariffs really work.

  13. Threats, threats, and more threats. Trump and his never ending tantrums.

  14. Why don’t he make 1000000% for entire world and done with it.

  15. When the person you elect is too stupid for the job.

  16. Would be nice to go a day without anything Trump related in the news. Remember when before Trump POTUS wasn’t always the center of attention? Remember when before Trump when you didn’t wear who you voted for like it’s your NFL team?

    Fuck Trump.

  17. The US is nothing more than a mafia state that has a wannabe kingpin that thinks he can bully the world into submission. Trumpstein thinks too highly of himself. The world is much much more than just ‘Murica.

  18. I recall not long ago that Trump said he finalized a deal with the EU. Lied again.

  19. “You better make good or ill punish america more!”

  20. Trump to the EU: *Shoots own foot* “YOU SEE THAT! THAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU NEXT!”

  21. You mean that “deal” wasn’t set in stone? Just like the India “deal”? This is the part that highlights the relative pointless endeavour of trying to actually make a trade deal. There’s a lot more than goes into it than just a post on Truth Social filled with false claims and it can be changed at the whim of Trump because there is no actual deal.

  22. “Trump threatens to to make Americans pay tax on EU goods for… some bullshit nonsense reason.”

    Fixed the title for you.

  23. At this point, cholesterol is the only hope reasonable Americans have…

  24. Can the EU just tell him to go fuck himself ? Invest in Canada instead.

  25. Can we just tell him to fuck off and take the hit already? He’s unbearable and unstable.

  26. EU is a bigger market than the US. Let TACO huff and puff, but keep doing what you do. He is making noise to distract from his Epstein debacle.

  27. I’d say f. the USA. Sure it is a big market but so is EU.
How Ursula could have agreed to any of it is beyond my comprehension. She should have flat or said no, no demands, no tariffs, zero/zero. And let the market work.

  28. The EU needs to take heed from Brazil and Canada and say no to Trump. If the world stands together he will back down. Show weakness and he will just walk all over you.

  29. As an open letter to the rest of the world

Speaking as an American citizen, please tell this asshat to go fuck himself and do everything you can to end trade and all but the most cursory relations until he and republicans are out of power

I know that hurts me, and my family, but as a nation we have it coming.
