I took a year off from my day job to create a PC game. Call it a passion project or a midlife crisis if you will. I just released the Demo, and what better way to celebrate than by paying tribute to the greatest Demo ever?

  1. Also, ulterior motive here: I’d love to translate the game into Irish, but although the game is not exactly what you’d call story centric, there’s already a lot of text to translate. And the only words in Irish I know “I am your father” and “Milk”, and I don’t know how to actually write any of them.

If I could find someone who’s enthusiastic about the Irish language and who would volunteer to translate, that would be fantastic. I strongly believe languages are a big part of a persons identity and that the best way to keep a language alive and relevant is by actually using it.

So far the game is translated into English, German, and (for shits and giggles) Swiss German. I’m Swiss, but have been in love with Father Ted ever since my (Bray) wife first forced it upon me 15 years ago, and we’ve been living in Wicklow for the last 10.

Anyway, that’s that sorted, have a nice Sunday.
