Scotland also saw positive growth in July, with house prices increasing by 4.7%. The average property in Scotland now costs £215,238.

Wales recorded a more moderate increase, with prices rising by 2.7%, bringing the average cost of a home to £227,928.

Among the English regions, the North West and Yorkshire & the Humber experienced the highest rates of inflation. Prices in the North West rose by 4% to £242,293. Yorkshire & the Humber also saw a 4% increase, with average prices rising to £215,532.

The South West, London, and the South East continued to see more moderate price increases. In London, property prices rose by 0.5%, bringing the average to £539,914, the highest in the UK. The South West saw a modest rise of 0.2%, reflecting a more gradual pace of growth in these traditionally high-demand areas.
