  1. Even with no kids right now you could do this in 9 months + 18 years + 9 months.

    Get cracking I say.

  2. It’ll be paid off when you’re “Not a Number”

At which point, you’ll be a free man!

    (I’ll get my coat)

**Edit:** can I just say that I’m delighted at the number of you who understood my crap and slightly nerdy joke, and seem to have been amused by it. Be seeing you!

  3. NaN means Not a Number

Presumably if you have a mortgage and are posting on Reddit then you are Not a Number

Therefore your mortgage is paid off

  4. Are you ‘Not a Number’ right now? In that case, your mortgage may already be paid off! Talk to an advisor today.

  5. Time to self-identify as a Nan and take them to court over wording!

  6. Wow, someone messed up their JavaScript there 🤣

(Or maybe another language, but I have only ever seen NaN in JavaScript)

  7. Happened to a family member in the 80s when interest rates spiked. Rather than raise their mortgage payment, banks were extending the repayment period. He still has a letter from the bank saying his mortgage will last infinity years.

  8. well you are “Not a Number” already, so it’s paid off? ..

  9. Technically if you aren’t a number… you should be good. If you are a number however… good luck paying it off…

  10. All the people here thinking NaN means Not A Number not realising this product is actually aimed at encouraging grandparentism

  11. All data nerds united on pointing out NaN is “not a number”.. I was coming to do the same and everyone was quicker than me! 🤣

  12. By which time, inflation will have made your mortgage *infinitesimally small*.

  13. This seems to agree with The Prisoner. “I am not a number; I am a free man!”

  14. No they’re saying your mortgage should be paid off when you become Sodiumnitrate.

  15. Im sorry, but I feel like we’re skipping over the whole idea of OP becoming a Nan? How do we set that wheel in motion?

  16. If you haven’t already then I bet Halifax would appreciate it if you got in touch to report a bug.

  17. Me, taking my child on a write of passage to divide zero by zero.

    “Son, you’re a nan now”
