A motorist was clocked driving at more than 320 kph (199 mph) on the Autobahn west of Berlin, a record high at more than 124 mph above the speed limit, German police said.

The speedster, who was not identified, was caught while racing along the A2 highway near Burg on July 28.

The driver was handed a fine of 900 euros ($1,043), stripped of two points from his driver’s license and banned from driving for three months, the Magdeburg police office said Tuesday.

  1. Lmaooo, that fine is nothing and not even banned for life?????

  2. I‘m curious if this is the end of the story. At this speed, the prosecutor’s office could look into criminal liability for either endangering road traffic or illegal motor racing on top of the speeding ticket.

However, seeing that he was only caught on speed camera and nothing is known about the circumstances of the incident, I expect nothing further to happen.

  3. the fine should be 900 Euros + 10% of auto value + license suspended enough till you’re scared again to drive that fast..like 1 year minimum

  4. His cousins surely will be happy to drive him around town. On the other hand, who will find out that he drives for 3 month without license?

“Famous Actor” Kida Khodr Ramadan was recently released from “Jail”.

  5. There’s some real bullshit here.

    1. You dont get points “stripped” from your license. You get points added and when you reach a certain amount of points then you’ll have to give up your license for a certain period of time and might need extra steps to get it back.
    2. The fine is just for speeding. There are defined brackets for every speed that defines how much you’ll get fined for speeding. It ends at “limit exceeded by more than 70kph” (~45mph) which defines the highest speeding fine bracket. There simply isn’t a way to scale the fine.
    3. There is however another relatively new law in germany that defines when a person is trying to race himself or against others. While the speeding itself is just a traffic violation, running a race is a criminal offense which can result in jail time or a hefty fine that scales with your income.

I’m 100% sure this person will be charged with running a race against himself on top of that lousy fine.

  6. Curious though if it’s legal to drive 300+ where there isn’t a speed limit.

  7. Speeding tickets here are adorable. €1000 is nothing when you can afford a car that will achieve that velocity.
The first time I got a $18 speeding ticket here I laughed hard. I’m used to $350-400 ones where I’m from.

  8. I have genuinely never seen someone write “kph”

    We usually write “km/h”

  9. Fucking lunatics. General speed limit now, if you want to feel speed, pay for a day on the race track, leave us ordinary folks who just want to get home safe out of your fantasies.
