This deal was a disaster from the start.
The Greek public was overwhemingly against it, all polls showing around 77% of the population being agaisnt the deal, which is why unlike in Skopia, here they refused to make a referendum, because they knew they were acting against the wishes of the people.
Democracy at its finest /s .
If they want to abandon the deal they can be my guest. The populations of the two countries never followed it. Politicians on both sides only pretended to when they had to, and the deal didnt cover private corporations who continued using the old terms and having conflicts.
Im still pissed that in a “democratic” country such an action was allowed to happen. At least the people spoke and kicked out the government who did it in the next elections, which to this date cannot even dream to electorally keep up with the current party. (Not that i think the current party wouldnt fuck us over too, but still consequences for actions must always happen).
Honestly feel free to down vote but nothing ive said here is false, people are just pissed because they wanted to force through an action against the will of the people ignoring democracy because of what they personally wanted. Its a shame we saw such a thing celebrated here.
I hope the ones that did so, dont expect any sympathy if their government decides to go against the majority of their people to force things that are disliled
