Meghan Markle is gearing up for a fresh legal battle with her estranged half-sister, Samantha, despite a defamation case already dismissed with prejudice in 2024.

And one royal expert has warned that the latest drama could derail any lingering hopes of peace between the Sussexes and the British Royal Family by focusing attention on yet more bad publicity.

Royal commentator Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News: “More legal disputes between Meghan and Samantha could break the fragile links between Prince Harry and Meghan trying to establish a way forward.”

The case, now headed to an appeals court hearing in September, risks reigniting headlines the palace would rather avoid.

Branding analyst Doug Eldridge added: “When someone is seen as the negative variable… it intensifies that polarisation to near-acerbic levels.”

With Harry reportedly extending an olive branch to the monarchy, Meghan’s family feud could cast the longest shadow yet.
