Air Force to deny retirement pay to transgender service members kicked out by Trump. The Air Force had previously said trans service members being purged from the military by Trump would be able to keep the benefits.

  11. Needs someone with expert legal and military knowledge to help here but this seems like it could go to the Supreme Court?

    It’s a contract fight- not about religious or political beliefs. The Gov made a promise to pay out unless a dishonorable discharge was filed. If Service members already served honorably, they’re due the usual benefits and pension offered when they joined.

    Changing a contract after is legal malfeasance.

  27. I’m so glad I didn’t join up in early 2016 when Obama extended the age cap. I was in the best shape of my life and thought I’d go for it, and my friends talked me out of it. I’m so thankful they did.
