  1. The Trump administration is touting commitments by foreign nations for future large purchases of U.S. energy as part of recent trade deal frameworks, including with the EU, Indonesia, and South Korea, but a separate recent mandate from the U.S. Trade Representative to promote domestic shipbuilding may stand in the way of making those liquified natural gas shipments reality.

  2. It’s a fake trade deal. There is no enforcement of terms. It’s just the Europeans blowing smoke up Donnie’s ass so he can claim a win.

  3. NOr the pipelines, nor the LNG plants, nor the ports.

  4. Not to mention that the IEA projects US NG production is expected to peak circa 2030.

  5. We don’t have any tankers and LNG construction is in its infancy. Donald isn’t even aware of this.

And as to those trade deals, countries that are agreeing to future investments in America are democracies. It would be up to private companies within those countries to make that investment. Smoke screen that Dumb Donald can’t see.

Besides, who would make an investment in America now. Not that Trump will live forever, but we the people have exposed who we really are to the world!

  6. Well, in all reality, Obama signed the energy export bill in 2015. Which created American energy independence. All that means is that we export more than we import. Its a win for the companies involved in energy export. Not necessarily Americans. It doesn’t lower our energy costs or prices at the pump.

  7. Right now in the USA 180 LNG takers are in operation and 110 new ones under construction. As the NYT says, why let the facts get in the way of a good piece of propaganda.

  8. Maybe the NYT and WaPo didn’t report the fact that Biden shut down pipelines under construction and PAUSED all new LNG infrastructure

  9. Could be wrong but isn’t exporting LNG via tanker ship about the worst way to do it as far as profit?

  10. Am I supposed to be happy that oil companies will add to their billions? Why should I care?
