Azerbaijan and Slovakia are set to hold political consultations in the autumn, further strengthening bilateral ties and fostering dialogue on regional and international issues.
The announcement was made by Slovak State Secretary for EU Affairs, Marek Eštok, who confirmed that the consultations are scheduled to take place in Baku in September, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“We are looking forward to the political consultations in Baku in September,” Eštok stated.
The Slovak diplomat also emphasized his country’s support for Azerbaijan in its ongoing peace process with Armenia. Talks between the two South Caucasus nations are currently underway in Washington, with international mediators aiming to facilitate a lasting settlement following decades of conflict.
“This is an important step towards peace after decades of conflict. Slovakia is ready to support the next steps,” Eštok added.
The upcoming consultations are expected to address a wide range of topics, including political cooperation, regional security, economic development, and prospects for deepening EU-Azerbaijan relations. The dialogue comes at a time of renewed diplomatic momentum in the South Caucasus and increased European engagement in the region.
