  1. Labour equality minister = shits on trans people and other sexual minorities

Labour homelessness minister = ejects tenants and hikes rents

    Hmmmm

  2. Well of course, she was fighting the war on homelessness, on the side of homelessness

  3. Jobs security, you can’t be the minister for homelessness if you solve homelessness

  4. Labour.

The saddest part is that I’m not even surprised.

  5. We’re starting to understand politics is full of liars and hypocrites

  6. She thought she was meant to make people homeless, a classic blunder.

  7. WHY DIDN’T THEY VET HER? That’s the biggest scandal for me. The incompetence of it all is staggering. How do you put someone into that position without checking if they’re a private landlord? And if they are, you make damn sure that they understand they need to be above board MORALLY. Honestly any sane person in that situation would have frozen the rent indefinitely or even lowered it, definitely not kicked anyone out to sell.

Fuck. The worst part is, whatever the case, she has more money than anyone reading this will ever see in all their lives.

  8. If we followed the Finnish coalition example and actually ended homelessness, she’d be unemployed. Think about that, you heartless, commie, mansion-sharing wannabes.

  9. It’s shit like this which makes people think “all politicians are the same they’re all corrupt”

  10. According to another comment:

And OP could have posted those instead. But they didn’t. They posted GB News.

“She didn’t “boot out four tenants”. She planned to sell so offered to move them to a rolling contract. This is quite standard if someone wants to sell. The tenants chose not to stay, which is in their gift to do so. When it couldn’t sell she relisted at the current market rate. Whilst the optics may not be great what was she meant to do? Relist for less than the current market rate for a similar property? Never try to sell in the first place?”

  11. Imagine if Labour had had to work for the last election, instead of an auto win after the tories collapsed. We might not have the tories v2…
