Meghan Markle , Duchess of Sussex on Aspire with Emma Grede
Meghan Markle has finally discovered her true calling in the career sphere, and it’s a path she explored long before her Royal romance with Prince Harry, says an expert.
The Duchess of Sussex’s As Ever lifestyle brand is gaining momentum, with a fresh vintage of her rose wine set to hit the market next week.
Yet, there’s speculation about the stability of her Netflix deal and the persistent estrangement from the Royal Family doesn’t seem to be easing. This comes amid reports that Prince Harry faces enduring disapproval from two key royals despite hopes for reconciliation.
Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes Meghan has carved out a unique and potentially lucrative niche for herself.
Despite Meghan’s absence from social media for several weeks, Jennie suspects the Duchess of Sussex might be preparing a major surprise for her followers or simply relishing some downtime away from the public eye, reports the Mirror.
Meghan Markle has returned to her roots as an influencer
Speaking to the Mirror, Jennie remarked: “After quite a blitz of Instagram messages and posts, Meghan has been rather quiet lately. That could be because the children are now home from school, or that she is between projects. But she has just put out a promotional message for her next batch of rose wine, which she says will be available to buy from next week.”
The unveiling of the new As Ever product has sparked a wave of anticipation among her online followers, leading many to predict another record-breaking sell-out of the new wine.
Despite ongoing criticism of some of her projects and social media presence, Jennie asserts that Meghan has successfully established a niche for herself online: a space where she enjoys the support of her devoted fans and can quietly relish her accomplishments.
Meghan Markle is building a successful business
Jennie commented: “I think Meghan deserves to be pretty happy with how this year has gone so far. Regardless of the media’s reaction to her actions or words, she has amassed a significant social media following in a short span of time, the products she endorses or sells tend to perform exceptionally well, and her TV and podcast shows – while not revolutionary – are perfectly watchable, no matter how much her critics try to disparage them.
“Meghan has, quite modestly, admitted that she is still learning to navigate the commercial world and concedes that she has made errors in her business ventures. That’s an honest assessment of her success to date.”
Jennie also noted that while Meghan continues to refine her social media strategy, her past experience running a blog has provided her with a unique advantage in engaging with an online audience. During her tenure as an actress on the TV series ‘Suits’, Meghan managed a blog called The Tig, where she would post her favorite recipes, travel tips, and chronicle her wellness journey.
Her journey in chronicling her life on the internet has equipped her with a distinct advantage to re-engage with her former creative pursuit, which is turning out to be tremendously successful.
Jennie stated: “She was doing extremely well as an influencer with her lifestyle blog before she met Harry. Now that she is back on social media I think this is clearly the direction she should continue to pursue. She’s quite good at what she does, just as good as many other highly successful influencers. I think she has found a niche and should capitalise on it.”
