there are a lot of articles that speak of the same thing. that Allied soldiers used lace for camouflage.
but i googled lace helmets at battle of the bulge and the only picture of a soldier using lace on his helmet i could find…was that guy. just the one…..i’m somewhat skeptical as to how many did this.
