Good climate news: clean energy will pass out coal as electricity source for the first time in 2025 (per the IEA)

1. Let’s call it “outpace” coal as electricity source.

   Give this five years, regardless of what the current Administration wants to have happen, and it won’t be a competition. It won’t make any sense to keep coal plants open. They’ll be better offer razing the buildings and converting the location to solar and batteries.
