Following protests in Dizengoff Square and near Gaza, the camp will be set up tomorrow in Tel Aviv at the Cinematheque plaza from 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM
The “Camp to Stop the War,” organized by the “It’s Time” coalition, will resume its activities tomorrow (Sunday) after its activists were attacked last week. The camp will operate at the Cinematheque plaza between 2:30 PM and 10:00 PM. This resurgence comes in the wake of the Security Cabinet’s decision to occupy Gaza, a move that may lead to escalation and ongoing bloodshed.
Serving as a mobile hub for nonviolent protest against the war, the camp will offer a variety of activities, including hunger strikes, discussion circles, artistic performances, and demonstrations. Last week, the camp was established for the first time in Dizengoff Square, where its founders and participants were violently attacked by far-right activists. Later in the week, the camp moved to a protest near the Gaza Strip.
Tomorrow, graduates of the Arava Institute will lead the camp’s activities throughout the day as follows:
2:30 PM – Protest space, T-shirt making, and discussion circles
4:00 PM – Open stage featuring short lectures, poetry, protest posts, and rap performances
7:00 PM – Lecture by Barak Talmor on humanitarian aid in Gaza since the start of the war and recent developments
8:00 PM – Resistance panel discussing various forms and visions of resistance amid deteriorating conditions, featuring student protests, solidarity culture, aid projects by the Arava Institute and Da’amor, protective activism and organizing, Woodstock for Peace, and The Fellahin
Donations to support Gaza Strip residents will be collected throughout the day at the camp.
