Hello 🙂 I'm currently trying to plan a hiking trip in Norway and would like to get to the hiking trails in public transport. Ut.no is amazing and also shows bus stops, but for some I just can't seem to find departure times. A specific example are the stops in Steinsland (Modalen) – I assume they are covered by Skyss because it's in Hordaland and there is a line that runs from Dale to Mo, but they don't show up in the app. Are these stops that are only served with a pre-booking or something? In google streetview (2019) there are bus stop signs.
Summary: what does it mean if google maps and ut.no show a bus stop but skyss/entur don't have any departures or don't know it?

It may be just for the school bus
You can try ruter.no
I don’t know if it showes every bus stop in the country, but I would give it a try.
Entur.no is the place to go. You might be searching for the wrong place?
Mo and dale is such generic names so make sure you got the right ones.
Entur supposedly shows all stops of all transport modes in the entire country. I haven’t personally checked that it shows *every* stop, but it’s worked fine for me
Closest I can find there is Straume 923. Are you going to kraftverket? If so, they (hopefully) have a shuttlebus from somewhere.
The bus in Modalen doesn’t go into Steinsland, but turns at Straume ~8 km south.
Some webpages (like Google) shows all bus stops registred – even if they don’t have a service at the moment. Others hide the stops when there is no service (Skyss).
It probably means that the bus does not run all year or the stop is not currently used.
Some reasons the stop might not be used all year:
1) it is a school bus stop
2) it is only in use during summer / not in use in summer services
3) it is only in use when a local business, such as a farm shop is open
4) it is there for a periodic special event such as a ski race
Hi! If I remember correctly, the bus only goes to Straume. There was too few people taking it further, so they changed the route.
