And that somewhere would be… Ireland, of all places!
I spent time in a few different bars in New York, and there is a romanticised idea of Ireland among people. I was more so shocked by how much they drank though, it was mental. Shots thrown out for any little celebration and the measures were massive. Straight whiskey as well. I had never seen people drink as much as I did when in New York, and it was the locals doing the drinking.
The Irish Americans I met over there drank way more than the Irish people I know. To be fair, I was spending time in bars and making these assumptions off that, so anecdotal.
As far as tacky signs go, that’s kind of amusing.
Heh.
Fuckin yanks 🙄
Judging by the amount of baseball hats in the photo, id say that Murica
I always found it strange when people claimed that we were such aggressive drinkers. As far as I’m aware, Irish people while drinking more, never seem to actually get drunk. Obviously you have young lads on the piss all the time, but isn’t that the same for every culture?
