  1. It’s always ironic when multimillionaires point the finger at the billionaires. Just think, possibly in our lifetime, it’ll be the billionaires pointing their fingers at the trillionaires while millionaires are considered poor. And at one point, this quack probably did it early in his career, the same things were said about millionaires, which he is one now.

  2. In before someone references the usual 100% unverified Dave Ramsey survey results compiled by a group that conveniently omits any actual data, methodology, or science, and describes itself as ”biblically based”

  3. Oprah did it with oxygen and an opinion

Michael Jordan did it with his legs and a ball

  4. Ok, I’ll bite. Which of those categories do Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jordan fall under?

    > Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to a teenage mother. She spent her early years in poverty, primarily with her grandmother in rural Mississippi. Her mother, Vernita Lee, worked as a maid and later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Oprah joined her around the age of six. Oprah faced a challenging upbringing marked by poverty and abuse, leading to behavioral issues and a period of living with her father in Nashville, Tennessee. She eventually excelled in school, particularly in drama and debate, and secured a scholarship to Tennessee State University.

  5. By the strictest definition of “self-made” no one is self made and no one can ever be. This makes the strict definition useless to communicate any ideas

When people say “self-made” what they actually mean is that that person didn’t receive all their wealth via inheritance. This is a more useful definition. They made their wealth through working. Building a company, hiring employees, and managing said employees while keeping a business profitable is form of working since it takes skills. If you think it’s as easy as hiring employees willy nilly as if they’re some automatic cash cow, then I encourage you to start your own business to see firsthand how difficult it is
