Hey everyone, I have been living in a small town in the Hessen district with my friend for over a year now. This morning, we found this note on our p.o box. After some research we found out that this is a Nazi related attack and a threat towards us. We immediately told our landlady and she said probably a crazy person must have done it, she quickly alerted the community whatsapp group, drove for over an hour just to take this sticker off. Later on we asked our nearby friends regarding the situation and one of them told us that she received the same threat too. We went to the police to report this, they basically didn't care and told us to come 3-4 hours later.
Should we be worried? And which further steps should we take regarding this situation? Any help or guidance would mean a lot. Thanks!

I’m really sorry this happened to you — it’s awful and unacceptable. Yes, you should take it seriously, even if it’s “just” a sticker, because it’s meant to intimidate.
Document everything: take clear photos of the note, the mailbox, and any similar incidents in your area. Keep timestamps and witness accounts. Since your friend also received the same threat, gather statements together — it strengthens the case.
If the local police don’t act, contact the Landeskriminalamt (state criminal police) in Hessen, as they have specialized units for politically motivated crimes. You can also reach out to counseling/support organizations like Opferberatung Hessen or Amadeu Antonio Stiftung — they can guide you through legal and safety steps.
And make sure your neighbors are aware — coordinated community pressure often forces authorities to take things more seriously.
Stay safe, and don’t let these cowards isolate you. You have allies here.

Where is the thread/attack?
You uploaded the wrong picture.
I Googles for it and nothing came about. Also this reads Like something dogowners would put on the door or gate or their House to warn of the dogs, They just Switched dog with eagle.
To me it looks like a random prank. Maybe even by school children.
Yes, Adler could refer to Reichsadler, but it could also refer to the Bundesadler or even a literal eagle. What makes you so sure that this is indeed a threat by Nazis? Have similar threats appeared in your area?
If you think something is off about it, report it to the police. If similar threats have appeared in your area, it will be useful information for them. If it is indeed random, they should be able to calm you a little.
Mailbox ≠ P.O. Box
Me seeing this post getting a huge smile thinking how cute and weird it is to have an Eagle watch over a building and make a sign about it, just to slowly realize what this post is about as I read the Subtext, my smile slowly fading to a huge frown… Damn
> We went to the police to report this, they basically didn’t care
There’s not a lot they can do at this stage. As a threat, it’s very cryptic, to the point of being essentially meaningless. That the eagle is a reference to some neo-Nazi organisation is only speculation at this point, at least as far as I can tell.
> Should we be worried?
If this is the first creepy thing that’s happened to you, probably not at this stage. It looks like an attempt to intimidate, and a cowardly one at that. The time to start getting concerned is if they make actual, and credible, threats, especially if they demonstrate that they know you personally or have been stalking you.
> which further steps should we take regarding this situation?
First, don’t let this person get to you: most likely that’s all they want. If something similar happens again, go back to the police and insist on reporting it so it goes on file.
Omg, situation in Germany is getting scary. I thought it might be in any eastern Germany state, but it’s in Hessen.
Put a sticker below it: „Thank you, maybe your Eagle wants to meet my Desert Eagle sometime?“
Why would they put it on your box?
Correct the spelling mistakes. -> adlerüberwacht, Gefahr
