  1. I for one will sleep easier in my bed knowing these violent maniacs are off the streets.

  2. You can support Palestine without supporting PA. Quite why anyone would want to support PA is beyond me, let alone being willing to be arrested for it.

  3. Sorry but is this really a protest about free speech? Because it seems trivially easy to support Palestine and not mention Palestine Action

  4. This, the doubling down on trans and the OSA are the straws that broke the camel’s back…this labour government is too illiberal

  5. Is Palestine Action the group whose co-founder, Richard Barnard said, “*When we hear the resistance, the Al-Aqsa flood [Hamas’ name for the October 7 attacks], we must turn that flood into a tsunami of the whole world*”?

Or is that a different group?

  6. They made a stupid decision attacking that base, but I don’t see how this group is different from other Palestine groups

Proscribing them as a terrorist organisation is stupid, and basically means that anyone that does anything but holds a sign is a terrorist.

  7. Great to see the police waste its limited resources on this once again while many types of crime that affect people much more seriously than protests get almost zero attention.

  8. Events like this always reminds me of that quote about how the police can handle a single 100k person protest relatively easily, but if it were 100 different protests of 1000 people in 100 different places, the entire system would be on its knees.

  9. I’m Welsh, I’ve lived in England for 10 years before moving back to Wales. I’m 34 years old. I’ve been lucky not to have fought in a war, or suffered like people are suffering around the world. But I have my own life, my own struggles and my own thing going on.

I think its absolutely horrible what’s going on in Palestine. However I feel its absolutely horribe what’s going on in Ukraine, What’s going on in North Korea, Whats going on in Africa. In Mexico.

There are people being starved, killed, tortured, executed and oppressed in many places around the world.

Palestine is one of those places. The numbers are great, but that doesn’t take away that in 4 years during the great famine in North Korea 3.5 million people starved. And today children chase rats in hospitals that have hallways lined with corpses so they can eat them for food. And yet you would have thought that event never happened.

But I never see people fighting for the rights for children in North Korea to not end up executed because a distant family relative listened to a western pop song.

I never see mass protests about warlords in Africa oppressing people and dousing them in fuel setting them on fire on suspicion of black magic.

Why am I not seeing massive rallies of Ukrainians on our streets demanding we fight the enemy they say they are defending us from?

Its Palestine, Palestine, Palestine. And the issue is, that you look at alot of these young white British students waving these Palestinian flags, they’ve never been to Palestine. probably never will. But they will scream free Palestine outside their local Greggs at people going about their day and then label you a nazi child killing supporter for not wanting it. And just like most movements, they start off with good intentions and then they get taken over by radicalists. And before you know it, “Free Palestine” becomes a platform for islamist jihadists to justify their own agendas.

“Death, Death to the IDF” on prime time TV at a British Festival. What?

They care about Palestine as much as everyone cared about Kony 2012 when it was suddenly cool and trendy to set things on fire to stop some random warlord recruiting children in his Army, no one cared before, and months later everyone continues to not care about Africa.

I’m sorry, But I literally don’t care what people want to label me as anymore. But I just want things that don’t impact me or things that are happening around the world causing delays, closures, interruptions in my world to stop. Go ahead and call me heartless and suggest I shouldn’t feel this way because i’m not suffering like they are. I honestly don’t care – And what your seeing is people are also no longer afraid to admit they feel the same.

If you support Palestine, Fantastic I can get behind that, I’ll support anyone who wants to see people live happy peaceful lives away from death and suffering etc. But for the love of god do something actually pro-active and not just self serving. Go and actively protest outside the embassies. Go and stand outside downing street and yell loud enough our politicians can hear you. Go and try to volunteer and assist Palestine.

Just stop fucking standing up in the middle of theatre performances yelling “free Palestine” because when I see that shit I see the same people in orange high vis clothing supergluing their hands to busy roads in the name of “just stop oil” It does absolutely nothing to help your cause, and it only frustrates people and turns people against you.
