1. Many Israelis have adopted a mindset to deal with what Israel does. The Nazis had the same issue; people on average do not naturally handle such violence. You have to dehumanise the victim. They are subhuman, a cockroach, a rat. They are inherently evil and the only solution is this one. You have no choice.

   It’s why many making pro-Israeli arguments focus on conflating Nazism and Palestinian beliefs, or frame this as a religious conflict, an irrational one which cannot be resolved. Land, dispossession and violence inflicted on Palestinians is absent from this worldview, and they will whatabout madly when confronted with such things.

   The great tragedy of Israel is that to do what they have done – for generations now – they’ve poisoned their own soul. They have filled their youth with hate and given them guns and power over those *other* people. Some time decades from now Israeli filmmakers will probably be making movies facing the reality of what they did while in a jingoistic propaganda bubble. And many former Israeli soldiers will have died by their own hands by then.

2. Suicide in the IDF is already pretty rampant, and it’s not going to improve. Turns out killing women and children is really bad for morale and mental health.

3. Why oh why are Palestinians inflicting this horror on the IDF? Palestinians are exposing the IDF to gruesome sights, a stench so terrible it can be tasted, and sounds that continue to echo in the mind. They are forcing the IDF to immerse themselves in this horror, day after day, with no respite. Why are the Palestinians so evil as to show the IDF the bodies of babies killed, of mass graves, of limbs amputated, of starving people, of so much blood? Poor IDF, it must be so difficult for them.

   /s obviously. Reality must be spun as though the IDF and Israelis in general are the victims here. Certainly the IDF’s victims don’t get mentioned much in this article, and everything to do with Israel’s spree killers and mass murderers is in the passive voice.

   Extra kudos to Sky News for pointing out that the monsters committing these horrors actually sent TikTok videos back home smiling and laughing amid all the carnage, even if they did try to minimise and gloss over the utterly loathsome evil acts that this guy and his fellow monsters in the IDF were doing. I’m sure it was inadvertent that they highlighted what these monsters are like when indulging in mass murder and spree killing.

   This man’s job was bulldozing homes and other buildings in Gaza. It could be anything but I wonder if at some point he realized how many civilians were being taken out while Hamas was still able to make statements. I wonder if these guys realized how Bibi started bringing up the hostages less and less over time. Or saw that Trump Gaza monstrosity.
