“Palestine Action became a proscribed organisation in July under the Terrorism Act, making membership of or support for the group a criminal offence.”
Actions have consequences
Edit: gas lads that you down vote someone for saying that supporting a terrorist organisation is a bad move. Wtf?
I could line the entrance of a town in terrorist flags and have them up all year with people complaining about them and nothing would happen.
They are a proscribed group, what the flip did she suspect?
She should have painted a Red Hand Commando or UVF mural with lads with ballies and machine guns on the side of her house. Police wouldn’t have gone near her.
Because it’s not about enforcing the law but political policing.
Clearly a dangerous terrorist, could have killed hundreds with that t-shirt
There was another elderly man arrested (briefly) in the UK in July for having a poster with a satirical cartoon from Private i mocking this law.
> Police said she was detained in Linenhall Street on Saturday afternoon on suspicion of possession of an article that indicates support for a proscribed organisation.
So she’s supporting an organisation that’s deemed as terror group in the UK. T shirt has nothing to do with the arrest. Non-news.
Interesting, as last time (a week or two ago) PSNI were just bystanding like it was a loyalist riot.
I wonder why they’ve changed tactics

Anyone spouting “erm she broke the law” should never be trusted with a single moral choice within their lives. Cannot be trusted.
Wow where are all the boot lickers coming from?
The UK ruling on Palestinian Action is so obviously blatantly political that is shocking to read people try to defend it.
I’m surprised all Nationalists aren’t wearing and displaying these, given the number of Palestinian flags ever.
Can they arrest everyone?
For anyone defending Palestine Action:
Following the brutal terrorist attack in October 2023, the co-founder of Palestine Action, Richard Barnard, said: ‘This was just the start for you here. When we hear the resistance, the al Aqsa Flood, we must turn that flood into a tsunami over the whole world!’ In other words, he called for further, greater waves of terror. You can easily find the video footage of him saying this by searching ‘Richard Barnard tsunami quote’.
Also, Palestine Action is absolutely not a peaceful, non-violent group. They attacked police officers and workers with sledgehammers, causing them to be hospitalised. The purpose of this violence was to bring about political change, i.e., it was terrorism. Source: [https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0e81qv784go](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0e81qv784go)
There is nothing stopping these protesters from protesting for Palestine without supporting this particular terrorist organisation.
Arresting people for wearing a fucking t-shirt. This country has completely destroyed any right to free speech or protest. It’s a full on police state.
Bored with ‘just stop oil’ moved to ‘Palestine action’……………
I support Palestine.
Action is urgently needed to stop the genocide.
People don’t really understand why Palestine action was prescribed. Anyone following these guys for the last few years were well aware that they supported Hamas, PIJ and violent resistance.
They sabotaged and destroyed plenty of private arms firms who sold arms to Israel, with at least a few times destroying arms which were meant to be sent to Ukraine.
None of these things made the UK government prescribe them as “terrorists”. What made that happen was them attacking the UK army directly. There’s a line that any country won’t let any organisation cross, and attacking their own army is it.
Personally I’m against people getting arrested for wearing the t-shirt, I also think that no country will ever allow an organisation to exist which sabotages or attacks its own army. Palestine action brought this on their selves.
Mask off moment that the open borders brigade are actually in favour of islamist terrorism.
Good, Protesting Palestine Prats get what they deserve.
I really don’t care what happens in the uk. We need to focus on problems in Ireland.
Fuck the PSNI
Does anyone know what it is about Palestine Action which has drawn the status it has and caused the seemingly hugely heavy handed response?
Like have they said or some something in particular which has provoked the status they’ve been given?
It seems that the ones being arrested are all very much middle class elderly people, who doesn’t really fit the profile of terrorists. Is there something they are saying or threatening to do which has caused this, or is it simply that they support Palestine and oppose genocide in sight of a government which is increasingly happy to do fuck all about it?
