I’ve interacted with lots of people on Tori but this is the first time I encountered someone as angry as this 😂

  1. I was supposed to come between 11-12, and I asked them if it’s okay to come 1 hour later instead. They then said basically if I come later than 12 then they’ll sell the item to someone else. So since I really can’t come at 11-12, I said okay I’ll cancel buying it then since they have another buyer already I assumed. I was a bit in shock when he replied like that 😂

  9. Tbf, as a frequent seller I do have to deal with alot low ballers, assholes and really demanding people. I remember I was selling an expensive bed, and the guy literally asked for a 50% discount, wanted me to drop it off (his place was on the other side of the city) and throw in a bunch of shit for free. Then when I got a better offer (which paid what I wanted, which was a reasonable price) he got upset and went on a rant about “how I deceived him” (I didn’t take money or anything from him).

    The worst in my experience have been the Indian students. They are always demanding super low discounts, asking for free stuff and also nitpick everything. Like come on: if you want something in perfect condition and delivered to your door step – go buy it new, from a store.  At this point I just ignore their requests because they are a pain in the ass to deal with. 

  10. At least you got a response. I stopped using Tori when sellers wouldn’t answer my questions about payment or what time would be good for them so I can come pick up item. Buyers would ask is item I’m selling still available and then just vanish in abyss.

  11. I remember trying to buy some car a long time ago when I was 18. He was selling it ridiculously cheap, like 1500e – it was a Toyota Supra in seemingly decent condition. Being an 18 year old I was on the fence to spend that amount of money and my parents talked me out of it they said: too fast, probably driven badly by clown drivers, too good to be true, must be s scam, etc. Fair enough.

    Anyway, he told me it was so cheap because he was being deported and told me where the car was, after a little bit messaging one afternoon, asking some questions about it I told the seller no thanks, my parents won’t give me the extra money for this car, good luck.

    The guy sent me like 50 text messages calling me a scammer, a loser, and how he is totally fucked because he thought I would buy it and now he doesn’t have time before he has to leave the country blah blah blah. As an 18 year old, I found this nothing short of hilarious. It was so unexpected.

    I explained I never said I would buy it, I only enquired. I got more abuse.

    I then felt a bit bad and said to him: “500e take it or leave it. I am 18, can’t afford more.” I figured 500e was better than nothing.

    Then him and some friends started calling me saying they’re going to ‘fuck me up’ and all this stuff for like a week after.

    Anyway, after he got deported I went to go see if he sold the car. Nope. Was still parked there. Damn he was telling the truth.

    6 months later I was in the area and saw it was on bricks, wheels had been stolen, but otherwise a perfectly fine looking Toyota Supra. Damn. Wonder what happened to it.

    But yeah some proper crazies online XD.

I usually get no-shows and ghosting, and people who run their own schedules regardless what we agreed upon, but I especially hate the ones who message me “I will buy it, give me your address and I’ll be there in an half an hour”. Dude I don’t check Tori every half an hour to see if got messages, so calm tf down and let’s agree on a time when you can actually come. Which reminds me: NEVER give the buyer your address before agreeing with them on the time when they can come. I made that mistake once and was already in bed about to go to sleep when the buyer arrived behind my door.
