What was the cause?
It’s normal to limit trajectories if trains are running late, as they usually get ‘reutilised’. The 2837 from Brussels to Knokke, might become the 2839 from Knokke to Brussels once arrived in Knokke. By limiting the 2837 in Ghent and reutilising it for the 2839 starting from Ghent, the 2839 can run on time for departure in Ghent. If the 2837 went all the way to Knokke to become the 2839 there, the 2839 would also be running 50 minutes late.
The one time i have to work from Brussels, something like this happens where every single train anywhere in Brussels had quite a lot of delays
Ah yes, the usual… 😐. Taking the train for almost a year now I think I’ve averaged about 1/3 delay/cancellation.
Treinen die te laat zijn in Berchem, maar “op tijd” in Antwerpen-Centraal, dat is dagelijkse kost. Echt schandalig, want in de statistieken van de NMBS staan die dan als “op tijd”.
