I’m kind of new to Norway still and learning what’s generally good brands of food and what might not be so good.
I just partially opened this to give my son (he’s 7). I just handed it to him still in the wrapper and he opened the rest of the way.
He was getting ready to take a bite, but luckily stopped just in time. He did touch it to his tongue before realizing something was off. Said it tasted like dirt. I’m guessing some kind of mold, but it’s yellow in color.
Anyone else experience this with this brand before? It’s still within the best before date.

Always got a stomach ache after i ate those, just avoiding’em entirely now lol, not exactly high quality food
These are delivered frozen from the factory, and the best before date depends on it being stored in frozen state. It is normal that the stores thaw them before selling, and they should add a sticker with a new expiry date based on the thawing date when they do that.
I would not necessarily consider those to be a “good brand”, but I have eaten quite a few without ever encountering the issue that you had.
They always cause the shits. They taste good but not worth the consequences
Ive seen proper mold on the blueberry version once or twice. Part of the reason i avoid those, but i prefer the milk chocolate anyway.
Telling me to check my muffin? I haven’t gotten laid in a year mate and I’m a man, but still great advice though.
Yeah, have been unfortunate years ago where i didn’t look at the muffin and took a bite 🤮 looked and saw that it was green… never bought them since 😂
That’s nasty! Glad you caught it.
One thing I advise in general is always check the dates on all food here. In my local Kiwi they are bloody terrible at not removing out of date merchandise.
I remember finding a box of packs of Prior chicken slices which were nearly two weeks out of date (and the staff member I showed it to barely reacted aside from briefly thanking me and disposing of them), bought chocolate which turned out to be five months out of date, and found lefse which was recently defrosted but was nearly a year out of date. I’ve found countless other out of date stuff over the past eight years since I moved here.
I never saw such levels of negligence in supermarkets back in the UK, and it seems to not be too uncommon here given other experiences I have read.
This is a wonderful country with so much that is very positive, but not a fan of the supermarkets.
