His statement is valid: putting people in concentrated getto’s diminishes the chances for those kids to learn the language and as result their chances on a proper education.

Basically, the guy who lived in Sint-Niklaas and at the coast (two provincial towns), who went to Ghent (and probably barely left the student areas) for his studies, doesn’t feel at home in Brussels? Big surprise.
When I go to my wife’s family in bumfuck nowhere, Limburg, I don’t really feel as if I’m in the Belgium I know either. The people there actually talk to me when I’m queuing. That’s fucking traumatising.

Problems are:
– lack of decent integration projects a few generations back, which echoes in the current generations
– Ghetto-lyzing of neighborhoods, concentrating immigrants
– the soft discipline in education involving language and “maatschappij-leer”
– no governments and parties had and have a clear and fair project to realize good integration.
– Governments are too soft on immigrants bringing the socio-cultural of the countries they flee from because apparently western standards arent feesible for them to live in…

Ik denk dat Conner het electorale succes van de Deense sociaaldemocraten heeft gezien en ook Vooruit in die richting tracht te stuwen. We zullen zien wat het hem oplevert. Tot nu toe zijn de peilingen ietsje gunstiger voor de socialisten.
