  1. I’m pretty sure that, by definition, Alaska ALREADY makes that true.

  2. > “It’s the first time that a Russian leader has been invited to American soil outside of the United Nations since 2007, and comes without the Kremlin having made any apparent concessions amid its war of aggression in Ukraine.”

    > Michael McFaul served as the U.S. ambassador to Russia during the Obama administration. “Russian nationalists claim that losing Alaska, like Ukraine, was a raw deal for Moscow that needs to be corrected.”

    > “Politically, it is easier [for the Kremlin] to continue the war until Ukraine’s final collapse than to make peace,” the anonymous official said.

  3. Oh is Alaska part of the lands Russia gets backs for ending the war it started

  4. It will only become moreso when Canada joins the Union.

  5. I can never figure out the Russian nationalist hand-wringing over Alaska. The sold it to the US in the first place because they realized it was indefensible if the British wanted to take it, which almost certainly would have happened after the communist revolution.

The US has the receipt of sale too, so it’s not like they can pretend it didn’t happen, and they know they aren’t going to fight the US over it.

I guess they think it bothers Americans, but honestly it just makes them seem intensely ignorant.

  6. That’s pretty pathetic that they’re bragging that daddy america noticed them. Donny mostly wants to change the topic from Epstein, although he does also seem maybe genuinely interested in ending the conflict.
