Survey shows majority of Dutch support smoking ban on beaches to combat litter

2. Hell yeah.

3. Please ban smoking at all beaches period.

4. There can’t be many smokers below the age of 50 these days.

5. Please ban smoking in public. I hate eating outside at a restaurant and someone at another table starts smoking.Completely ruins the experience every time

6. Just ban smoking wherever it impacts others. It’s really annoying to be anywhere outside with kids and have to get the whiffs of cancer sticks randomly.

   Not even talking about the gross pile of used filters littered around planters all over the place.

7. Banning the situations where littering and passive smoking is an issue is good, but I’m never gonna support anyone dictating what other people can do with their own bodies. Let people exist and smoke. If your country is making sure smokers can’t smoke in outside terraces, indoors, bus stops, in front of the doors and in balconies that’s good for everyone, but any “just ban smoking” can go straight out of the window – not that EU isn’t already planning on getting it banned before this decade is through. What other personal freedoms will be banned, we’ll have to see.

8. Please do this in Belgium, too.

9. Good start. Next do terraces.

10. I visited Japan where smoking is prohibited practically everywhere, and I like it a lot. No more noxious fumes every time you exit a restaurant or you stay in a park.

11. I smoke but I support this ban.
