Greece has welcomed the announced agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a significant step towards ending decades of conflict in South Caucasus.
“We commend both sides and the US Administration for making progress towards the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan possible,” the Greek MFA said in a post on X.
“The signing and ratification of a final Peace Treaty between the two countries will be the necessary next step for ensuring lasting peace and prosperity, with full respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity as the guiding principles,” the Ministry said.
