Omg, I never understood the need for trigger warnings till now. Wtf
I’ll never understand
1 – people expecting good food in front of a world-famous tourist spot
2 – people expecting a good carbonara not in Italy

Voilà, c’est déconstruit.

Do seasoning still arrive by camel, Pierre? That not even horrible, it is Br**ish
May the gods have mercy on your soul because we will have none you heathen.
Cooked over a heated argument
Rag on France all you want but I know Pierre, no frenchman would ever serve a dish without so much as a crack of black pepper.
* Egg yolk hasn’t been whisked through, major red flag
* Spaghetti looks over done
* No Pecorino cheese
* And is that pancetta instead of guanciale? either way it’s barely touched the pan.
In the nicest way possible, they must have had some refugee in the kitchen, someone not familiar with Italian cuisine and clearly misheard the basic instructions. But the real question is why the fuck did the waiter take that out ?

Lol
I had eaten worse. From a non-descript tourist market casual café gearing towards tourist trades in Berlin Mitte just close to the Brandenburg Gate and the Memorial to Murdered Jews. That place charged me 10€ for some currywurst plus some Salad and potato.
But our walking your guide gave me 30 minutes to find food and finish it before setting off again, so it was the only one that I could go sit down order and finish all inside the half an hour window.
The only way I can call that is normandy pasta.
I mean, what do you expect in a heavily-touristic zone? The pints, pies, and chips you’ll get in central London will be sad and cripplingly expensive, the tapas on the Costa del Sol will put you in the toilet for a week, and the broodje kaas in Amsterdam will… Well, you know
Why (1) dine in front of Eiffel tower with so many nice places in Paris and (2) why Italian food in Paris with so many bistrot?
Worst case scenario, rive gauche, but not Italian in front of Eiffel.
We have seen way worse shit on this sub with people saying “would” where it looked like vomit. It’s between 1.5 and 2.5 € of ingredients for 15€. Lidle quality. It’s not that horrendous. The lardons should have been more revenus sure, they are even looked blanchis instead of revenus, and they are of the worst quality possible.
Still, given the location it’s acceptable in my book.

I’m not a food expert but this doesn’t look a proper carbonara
For a 15-euro meal close to the Eiffel Tower, this is probably above average LoL

Food really is what brings ze fwrench and ze italians together! Like Simon and Garfunkel, but then in the art of cooking!!
15€ isn’t even expensive for a plate of pasta from a restaurant, so I’m not too surprised it gets you… this…
Anyways, are you truly Western European if you don’t have any horrid tourist traps like this?
I wouldn’t feed that to my dog.
man at least put an nsfw tag on this
Is the kitchen staff Dutch or something?
I’m surprised that you can get a meal, even a horrible one like this one, for just €15 opposite the Eiffel Tower.
No cream, no Cabonara
Could be worse. Check in with us tomorrow if the raw egg gave you salmonella, I guess for 15 € in front of the Tour Eiffel it must be included
Even my carbonara looks better than this…
I mean the idiot that goes to the eiffel tower and orders italian food is at fault.
Is that an american? They somehow have this obsession with italian food when they travel
Bruh.
Going to a restaurant in a tourist-trap danger zone.
What did they expect ?
The only thing cooked there is the pasta.
Pierre! We at least trusted your snobbishness to just stick to your slugs cousine!
deserved
…opposite the Eiffel Tower…
Is that restaurant near Eiffel Tower just a Mercadona??
15 bucks is amazing value for that. Kinda lazy execution but at least they didn’t overcook the egg. 😑
As a Barry, it is abundantly clear even to me that is not carbonara. Do with that what you will.
What do you expect in front of Eiffel Tower except a tourist trap?
These lardons have been cooked on a radiator, I hope OP did not eat them like this.
This is the closest to real carbonara you’ll ever find in France. What’s the matter with you putting cream in EVERYTHING Pierre?
What is wrong?
Did they abolish stoves?
