  25. In 2009 my than wife and I bought a little house in the village. Before it was abandoned for 8 years. There were a lot of things we kept, because not rich. Also I don’t like throwing things away when good enough to use. Like tools, a push mower, lawn trimer etc. Some things went to new neighbours, family members or as said we kept them for ourselfes. 4 of these chairs were within our loot. At least 25 years old and still sturdy. Never pretty but always handy to have around.
    Recently we had a small get together in our neighbourhood. I was asked to lend mentioned chairs. Like so often in the past.
    They were gone. My ex-wife-to-be through them away. It’s heartbreaking. Still grieving about the loss. Feels like some kind of disconnect from my european heritage. So sad.
