You people celebrating the "end" of their Netflix contract should eat some crow.

  1. Just watched her show. It was perfect for her. I enjoyed each episode. I needed something lighthearted and this was it.

  2. Go Meg, Go Meg, Go Meg, Go Meg! ( in my Megan Thee Stallion voice)

  3. She was never being let go in the first place. They were clearly restructuring the deal and getting a new one. I can’t wait to see what she has in store next.

  4. I that that headline is a bit misleading. Makes it sound like the current deal is being extended with the same terms as before, but from what I understand, it’s a new deal, a “first look” deal. I think maybe we’ll get some more “With Love, Meghan” out of the deal but I’m not confident anything more will come from the deal.

  5. Eh. I wouldn’t celebrate this as a win. It’s a first look deal, meaning they’re not paid much of anything unless and until they deliver.

  6. Upcoming movies, shows and documentary from Meghan and Prince Harry’s Archewell productions and Netflix

    – ‘With love, Meghan’ season 2

    – ‘With love, Meghan’ holiday celebration special

    – ‘Masaka Kids, A Rhythm’

    – ‘Meet me by the lake’

    I can’t wait to see what’s next 🙂‍↕️

  7. People are still trying to turn this into a referendum on Meghan and Harry, I guess, but honestly it’s so much simpler that that: their first deal was a zero interest rate phenomenon, and interest rates aren’t zero anymore. Netflix would be looking to restructure even if they hadn’t also cancelled Meghan’s earlier projects, because they’ve been changing up their whole strategy. That’s it.

  8. Their real deal with Netflix is done and dead for good. This new deal is just a first – look deal to keep them hooked with Netflix in case there is a new developed version of their documentary series or new drama coming. Also all the shows that they are mentioning were announced ages ago, like there’s no new content coming from this deal. Even With Love, Meghan is not getting a 3rd season but just a Christmas special (probably it has their kids on there which Netflix wouldn’t want to let the opportunity go). But beyond this they don’t have anything new to offer to Netflix.

Also in case they are so successful what their fans claim why couldn’t them get a new multi-year deal with another streaming platform but accepted this “first-look” deal from Netflix? Another big deal would’ve been way better for a production company than a new deal where they have to prove their luck if the can sell the content or not.

  9. What’s a ‘first look’ deal?

Does it mean that Netflix get first refusal on anything Archewell make?

  10. Good for them. They are continuing to thrive without the British taxpayers’ money.

  11. I look forward to them someday being able to succeed or fail without all the breathless scrutiny and overzealous reporting. I wonder how long it will take for that to happen.

  12. I see predictions were correct about a first-look deal.

I wonder what the hold up is with *Meet Me At The Lake*. Since it wasn’t finished during the duration of the first deal, does that mean H+M are now on the hook for the production fees?

  13. Good for them. Meghan seems to be keeping busy looking ahead.
Bummer Harry’s proposed show to interview Trump and Pitin on their childhoods didn’t get through. /s

  14. Totally unsurprising and completely in line with what everyone who actually understands the industry thought would happen. As I said weeks ago, nobody is getting those huge exclusive deals anymore unless you are a golden goose (like Shonda).

The goal post last week was that Netflix was completely done and wanted absolutely nothing to do with them anymore…

  15. All they seem to be able to do is chase fame and celebrity. Sad to watch. Shallow pursuits by shallow people.

  16. Wait. The UK media has told us for years they were broke failures who Netflix would drop.

  17. 98% of what Netflix has to offer is pure garbage. This fits the bill.

  18. And I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn….
