2. The racism of western liberals is disgusting. A journalist simply being Palestinians is enough to immediately cast doubt on whether they are truly a journalist and then by extension make their death more palatable.

3. I see a lot of people justifying such murders by labeling people as ‘he was Hamas’.

   The problem is in a region like Gaza, where the only real power is Hamas, you are either Hamas or nothing. Hamas is much bigger than a narrow suicide terrorist group. If you are a Palestinian young man who today wakes up and decides to fight off IDF to protect your home (like Ukrainians do now), the only way to do it is to go to a ‘Hamas office’ and say I wish to fight. Thats it, there is no way to get a weapon and be useful otherwise. Forget about Hamas, even of said Palestinian took AK-47 and then was killed by IDF, everyone would just label him as Hamas terrorist and be fine with it.

   Al-Sharif was a journalist, he sure had connections with Hamas, otherwise he would not get access to many things, but IDF did not kill him for this, he was killed because he was popular and worked against them in media. Thats it

5. ​According to Brown University’s Costs of War project, more journalists have been killed in Gaza since the war began on October 7, 2023, than in the US Civil War, World Wars I and II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, the wars in the former Yugoslavia and the post-9/11 war in Afghanistan—combined.

   We know that Anas Al-Sharif was on the IDF’s radar.

   Despite the [Israeli plans to literally turn Gaza City into a concentration camp](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/13/israel-humanitarian-city-rafah-gaza-camp-ehud-olmert) and a staging area for genocide, Anas was determined to stay and cover the ongoing atrocities. In addition to public threats by the IDF, [he received phone calls from Israeli military officials](https://inv.nadeko.net/embed/25fYDowHtec?t=263) ordering him to stop his coverage and to move to southern Gaza, otherwise he’d be killed.

   Imagine receiving a phone call from military officers of a nuclear-armed state, who then threaten to kill you, in plain language, unless you stop doing your job. And then imagine saying, “No.”

   Anas actually predicted his own death, [publishing his final will on Twitter](https://nitter.net/AnasAlSharif0/status/1954654953156358335#m), and acknowledged that he might be assassinated by the Israeli Air Force at any moment. That didn’t deter him from walking directly into the ugliest parts of an ongoing genocide to report on it.

What the IOF has produced as supposed evidence just reeks of a pathetic smearjob and they fucking know it. Even the BBC had to admit that there is no way to put this somewhere not beyond the pale. This was an extrajudiciary killing and a war crime. Their primariy motive was silencing him ahead of their next attempt at a final solution.

   -A photoshopped telegram message (Anas didnt post in english)

   -A selfie with government officials taken before or after an interview

   -A photo of him sitting on a chair

   **To better know what kind of person Anas was:**

   -He was constantly threatened with his life by Israel to stop reporting. He refused and continued exposing their crimes.

   -He was offered to leave and go to Qatar. He refused and said the only way he leaves Gaza is to go to heaven.

   Before 2023, you could assume a zionist was just naive. Now, zionists are just evil. On the path to being viewed by history in the same way as nazis.
