  1. Subheading feels a bit misleading by making all factors sound equal. Study says it’s primarily due to overfishing and worsened by climate change and dams rather than those all contributing the same

    Overfishing is particularly impactful to fish size because they specifically target larger fish. From the article:

    > Fishing and hunting often targets the largest animals and has led to the shrinking of many species including cod in the Baltic Sea, salmon in Alaska and sharks, and has led to smaller tusks in African elephants.

    For reference the subheading is: “Fish once as large as grizzly bears have become far smaller in recent years due to overfishing, dams and climate crisis”
