Hasn’t this been going on for like 2 years with no progress, the guy denying it and no public evidence other than he was a sex offender (on adults). Doesn’t seem from the press like there’s much more than he was a sex offender who was active in the area at this point but there’s probably an active sex offender in most places most of the time. Maybe I’m overly cynical but I’m sure lots of people would be very interested in getting this case wrapped up and open to shoehorning someone in to take the blame.

This was the BBCs headline news. Sure I get people are interested but a 15 year old case FFS there’s a lot more important things going on.
As a parent I’m still trying to understand how they left their daughter alone sleeping whilst they went off for a drink and a meal in a different part of the resort. I could understand if they were in the next room but to go off entirely and have no clue about their child is a joke. If the child had started to choke on something then she would have had no chance.
They should be arrested for neglect because if you did that here and were poor that’s exactly what would happen.
Wait, what?! But the case was just closed in like, the last week! This is really bizarre.
Oh my god who the hell cares. It’s blindingly obvious the parents did it, and milked it for years now. There are lots of other kids, alive, and in legitimate danger **now**
What is a “formal suspect”? Is there actual evidence to charge this individual, no matter how odious a creature he may be? If there were then why isn’t the individual in custody already.
I wonder if we will now get an apology from all the Reddit commentators on here saying “the McCanns did it and are covering it up with crocodile tears”?
Edit. Of course not. There is nothing Reddit commentators hate more than being proven wrong…..other than admitting it of course. Why admit you were wrong when you can just downvote and run away like cowards?
