  1. Unfortunate, hope they find consolation from the millions in profit they make.

  2. Last month I saw a group of foreigners taking pastries in Alepa and putting it in their bag, They were 3-4 women surround and one person took, quickly informed the cashier just in case they leave without paying but I left before they did so don’t know what happened. I guess nowadays most likely drunk/addict and foreigners are getting desperate after that Kela cut

  3. This is an inbuilt, and important, feature of the rampant sociopathic right-wing capitalism.

  4. Everything has become more expensive, everyone is unemployed, benefits have decreased. More people start struggling, more fall into addiction cycles, more shoplifting and other crimes.

This is what a recession looks like.

  5. So much meat and cheese gets stolen by finnish drug addict nowadays.

  6. This is a direct result of government policies.

  7. It’s a big problem, sadly, shoplifting is wrong, but on the other hand all the big market groups can f.ck off with their greed and massive profits when all of us are struggling! F.ck them all!!!

  8. You know at some point, there will be enough desperate people that even things Finland is known and loved for like great nature will not be sufficient anymore because they’re prime locations for robbing and all sorts of shenanigans. But let’s hope it will never come to that point.

  9. remember that S-Market and K-Market are the most profitable supermarkets in the world.

Maybe they could lower their margins?

  10. It’s hard to understand why they don’t catch the shoplifters and put them in prison or whatever correctional facility. Somehow more and more people seem to think shoplifting is ok.

Noone has to shoplift in Finland unless they wasted their money and need to get some drugs or alcohol. Bunch of stories to justify crimes…

  11. It is because citizens are becoming steadily poorer and some of those on the edge already falls out and turns desperate with nothing to lose anymore. Then of course government secretly likes it when you blame it on immigration because the good old *divide et impera*. The same trend is in action in many places in Europe.

  12. And is this shoplifting increasement diversified or heavily majority of none ethnic finns?

    Tell me
