Just what we needed, a massive building that provides 20 jobs and and sucks the energy grid dry.
This is bad for Ireland ultimately
We all use these services, it’s hypocritical to object to having it here.
Government: “Let’s move things that create emissions out of Ireland even if we use them because as long as we’re not the ones creating them, it’s all good”
Also government: “Let’s build these energy sows that service the rest of the world.”
Get out of the 2008 mindset lads that we need investment. You all hate greedy capitalism yet get hard when jobs are announced despite not having the housing, education, health or transport services for them.
They should be made to build them and also build wind turbines to power them on the West Coast
Lets see if building it will be a success story like the one of other companies that want to build datacenters in Ireland.
There’s talk of piping the heat from data centres to be used in nearby homes or businesses. Will they consider it?
The electrical grid is in trouble. Not sure where the energy is supposed to come from…
We should protect the environment by writing our reddit messages on pigeons and sending them to each other.
