My dad found this in an old German house in Memel (now Klaipėda). Any idea what’s this brand or what even is this? Brandy? Thanks in advance!

Essig = vinegar.
It says “Essig Essenz”, Essig is vinegar.
It’s concentrated vinegar
It’s vinegar essence. Was used a lot for cleaning your kitchen back in the day.
It’s an old bottles with “Essig Essenz”. It means vinegar with a very high percentage of acid (80%).
Usually It’s used for clsaning.
DON’T DRINK IT!
Hmm just the right thing to spice up my noodles😂💯
As others have said: vinegar essence.
However, it doesn’t have to be used for cleaning. The line at the top warns that in its undiluted state it can be life-threatening if ingested; but the text at the bottom gives instructions on how to dilute it for use as vinegar.
The instructions mention markings indicating one measure of essence: one such measure added to one wine bottle’s worth of water — 3/4 litre — is the right concentration for ordinary vinegar; double the concentration for pickling vinegar (but in this case you must first boil the water).
