  1. “draft report to be presented to the Security Council also contains warning that  Israel may be included on list”

    What?

  2. About time. So I shouldn’t invite them to the cookout?

  3. >The draft also includes a warning to Israel: if it does not take steps to demonstrate serious handling of allegations and suspicions of sexual violence as a weapon of war, it could be included in the next report.

    What?

    >This follows allegations regarding sexual violence by Israeli security forces against Palestinian prisoners and detainees in several prisons, detention facilities, and a military base — including the Sde Teiman facility. The secretary-general noted that Israel’s refusal to grant UN inspectors access hampers his ability to determine patterns and trends definitively, but warned of “serious concerns” about their existence.

… So, what, “FYI we’re looking into you next so you better start covering things up”? Is this journalistic spin, framing something in the most controversial context? Because the article makes it sound like the UN rep is pissed they had to get involved with Gaza/Palestine at all and were pressured into it.

  4. Someone tell

    * Francesca Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967 and
    * Reem Alsalem, United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls

  5. Duh. But I guess better late than never. Heck, has the UN gotten rid of all the Hamas employees yet?

  6. UN still on Netscape or already on Internet Explorer? What about the Russian Army?
