  1. I mean if it’s proven to work, and every scientist in the world says it will help reduce climate change, our government will probably make it illegal because oil companies paid off congress

  2. As I’ve said before, why spend a nickel on that when community solar co-ops could be installing farms on schools and other large sites? You might get ten times the energy for the same investment, and shares could be cheap enough that anyone can buy in.

    I’ve been trying to follow this effort. My concern is that Germany could “Just Do It®” because they have better electrical codes. They have an estimated 4 million Balcony Solar setups in operation, and only a little over a million are properly registered. They implemented a very simple registration process in reaction to the fact that people were installing these without regard for regulation. My concern is that outdoor outlets in the US are on circuits with a bunch of other stuff (not dedicated to the one outlet) and that is considered a problem by some Electricians and the like.
