  1. So, who is going to decide about where to deploy which forces when? The EP? The member governments of the 27 unanimously or by majority vote? The member governments of a “coalition of the willing”?

  2. europe has been presenting kurds like gods among turks for a decade but now that 2k of them at the gates of europe it is time to get real

  3. Would be great step of integration, hopefully the EU is coming out of the idealistic liberal phase and returning to realpolitics. The EU isn’t a thing to promote liberal values in the world but to represent Europe’s common interest

  4. Oh yes, more ‘joint military action abroad, including with a deployable crisis force’ is just what the EU needs.

We could soon be repeating the grandiose results achieved in Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, every other place we intervened in.

  5. I’m sure there’s an answer, this is more a question for people smarter than me than a criticism of a fault I’ve found, but what would happen if troops who are citizens of a particular nation were ordered into an action which their national government opposes? Is there a historical precedent for anything remotely similar?

  6. The EU will do what it always does. Fuck something up badly, and use that as an excuse to implement a proper solution.

  7. They’re REALLY committed to the global Fascism that will result from their total INACTION in the face of Climate Change.

  8. A federal military could be good. What would be better is growing some balls so that they actually use the powers they already have to stop the migrant invasion.

  9. The words of a man who will undoubtedly in the front lines of active service. Behold, the face of bravery.

    We salute you .o7
