WINDHOEK, Aug 13 (Reuters) – Namibia’s central bank left its main interest rate unchanged at 6.75% on Wednesday, saying it wanted to safeguard the peg between the local currency and the South African rand while supporting the domestic economy.

The Bank of Namibia also maintained the repo rate at its last two monetary policy meetings in April and June, following four consecutive cuts previously.
