What castle, cottage or any building that’s a royal palace or residence is your favorite one? Mine would have to be Frogmore house
The first picture of the 19th century, watercolor painting of frog more house .
The second is a more up-to-date photograph .

Sandringham by a long shot. But if we’re talking about the Crown estates, I like Windsor Castle for its history and grandeur.
Windsor.
Versailles as a fan of the French revolution.
Balmoral
It isn’t really a royal estate anymore but Osborne. I just like hanging out there, it’s cool and woodlandy with a Swiss cottage and even has a little beach. The house has ‘Italian summer villa’ vibes and doesn’t feel stuffy. Most of the estate cottages/homes are in private hands now so you can buy the house where Victoria’s daughters stayed.
The Tokpapi Palace in Istanbul is the most unbelievable palace that I have ever visited
Alexander Palace in Russia
Hampton Court!
If we mean the British: Hampton Court. Specifically the 17/18th century additions.

But globally, the Swedish take the crown with Drottningholm Palace. It’s a perfect size and structure for a summer palace. I love the symmetry and yellow facade. The royal family still lives there which is nice.
I don’t think it’s technically a Royal estate, but I love Highgrove House SO MUCH.
