And sometimes all you need is somebody else to educate you. Apparently we are part of um the refugee convention as well as the convention against torture and they believe that some of these third country deportations violate those laws especially when it comes to the fact that their asylum claims aren’t even being considered and they’re just being deported anyway. Um so I’m worried about that. So the ICE has detained people at their court hearings. They show up to court. They’re following the law. They want to make their case and then they get snatched up and deported. I understand where you’re coming from, but I think the counterargument is that these are undocumented immigrants who shouldn’t have been on US soil in the first place. I I understand your perspective, but I want to say that people have every right to make an asylum claim, but they don’t have every right to make an asylum claim in the United States. For example, if you’re from Honduras, actually, under international law, you make an asylum claim in the first country you arrive. Yeah, I agree. And there are, let me see, if you look at a map, there’s Mexico, there’s the United States. There’s several routes you can take. It’s not just one, right? And so, if there are seven countries between the United States and your country, you don’t skip all the six countries in between just to pick the United States. Yeah, I think that’s I actually think that’s a good argument. forgot that.

They come here knowing full well they’ll receive money, clothing, housing and benefits. Well, they did under Biden. Trump is derailing that gravy train, and for good reason: Americans don’t receive anything for free, so why should an illegal who has never paid a dime in taxes?

For people that don’t know these people get arrested for entering the Country illegally (a Federal Crime) and once they are in the detention center they come up with the asylum claims, the government shouldn’t allow them to start the asylum claims in the detention centers, there lays the problem with these cases.

  15. You would think a person actually seeking asylum would do everything they can to keep from going back, including entering the country legally and applying for citizenship.

  20. 99 percent of people in jail are people who willingly showed up for court. Should we free them all for trying to do the right thing showing up?

  28. The reason that they are illegal in the first place is because they haven't been vetted out by the legal processes to eliminate criminals from entering the country. Otherwise you just have other countries dumping their prisoners into the US. That's why they are considered illegal. Because they are not going through the vetting process.

  43. Yea the Asian lady is correct. When we applied for asylum from Romania .. we applied for West Germany, Poland, the UK, Spain, France the Netherlands. And two other and the USA.. it just that for us .. the States said ok before the rest. And gave us the papers
